Sonus faber unveils luxurious Stradivari loudspeaker
Inspired by its namesake, Antonio Stradivari, the world’s most famous violin maker, the reworked Stradivari features a new pentagonal shape that the company claims: “allows for an enhanced listening experience from its original elliptical footprint”.
New features include a low-frequency adjuster, which offers control of the ultra-low range tuning and an: “anti-resonant organic basket” within the bass driver designed to avoid vibration modes generated by its membrane. Meanwhile special clepsydra technology has been incorporated into the reflex port to maximise low-frequency descent performance while simultaneously containing the length of the reflex duct, while INTONO technology is claimed to: “guarantee the most natural possible reproduction of the medium frequencies, significantly reducing the size and the filter components of the crossover”.
Described by Sonus faber as a: “3.5-way midrange sealed box,” the second-generation Stradivari boasts a 28mm DAD Arrow Point tweeter paired with a 150mm neodymium magnet system midrange driver and two 260mm Dual Drive bass drivers. Sensitivity is quoted as 92dB with a nominal impedance of 4ohm. The choice of finish options includes red, wenge and graphite.
Available to buy now for the princely sum of £45,000, you can find out more about the Sonus faber Stradivari here.
