Rural drops Ruark R810 'radiogram'
Both a revival of renowned radiograms of the past and an evolution of its R7 (HFC 384) design, the R810 comes with precision-formed trims, polished chrome stand, handcrafted wooden grille and veneered cabinets, available in soft grey or walnut. Made from: “fast-growing sustainable woods that are spliced and reconstituted, the resulting grain patterns closely resemble slow-growing hardwoods without the ecological impact”. The display provides setting and source information as well as album artwork in a portrait orientation.
The R810 is optimised for streaming and vinyl with support for Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect while Apple AirPlay and Chromecast built-in allows for direct streaming as well as the ability to build a flexible multi-room system. Music playback comes via a new RotoDial control system and also included is a matching rechargeable Bluetooth remote. For use with turntables or CD players, there are dedicated phono inputs and a USB-C socket. There’s also support for DAB/DAB+, FM, and Internet radio.
High-fidelity speaker units and audio grade components are used throughout, and the R810 features a high-capacity linear power supply coupled to a 4.1-channel Class A-B discrete component amplifier. With a claimed nominal rating of 180W, it also boasts an integrated active subwoofer.
Available to buy now for £3,000, you can find out more about the Ruark R810 here.
