PSB introduces T65 and T54 towers and B50 bookshelf loudspeakers
The floorstanding Imagine T65 is the flagship model with a 25mm tweeter, 133mm midrange and dual 165mm bass drivers. It showcases a three-way dual bass reflex configuration with rear slot bass ports and tuned chambers. The company explains its crossover design: “leverages the natural roll-off points of each driver with precise control of the sound. The outcome is an exceptional capacity to dive deeper into low frequencies, while presenting an expansive soundstage”. It has claimed sensitivity of 90dB with nominal impedance of 8ohm.
Another floorstander, the Imagine T54 pairs the same 25mm tweeter with a 102mm midrange and dual 133 bass drivers for a claimed sensitivity of 89dB (into 8ohm loads). Embracing the three-way dual bass reflex architecture reminiscent of the T65 and featuring dual rear-firing slot ports, the T54: “challenges its compact dimensions to present a wide frequency range and pin-point imaging for an immersive listening experience”. It has claimed sensitivity of 90dB, with nominal impedance of 8ohm.
Completing the range, the Imagine B50 bookshelf speaker uses a 25mm tweeter and 133mm mid/bass driver within a compact footprint. It has claimed sensitivity of 87dB with 8ohm impedance. Featuring a two-way bass reflex design and rear-facing slot port, the company claims it is: “more than capable to fill any space with harmonious true-to-nature sound and unexpectedly deep bass extension”.
All three models inherit flagship-grade technology from the Synchrony and PWM Series and feature woven carbon fibre cones for both the mid and bass drivers, mass-loaded rubber surrounds and premium magnet structures. The low-resonance MDF cabinets have been built with extensive bracing and acoustically transparent removable magnetic grilles and come in Satin White and Black finishes.
The Imagine T65 is priced at £1,700 a pair, the Imagine T54 at £1,200 and the Imagine B50 bookshelf speakers at £600.
